Hi, my name is Mike and I would like to tell you about one of my blogs which is about television and reality tv shows. TV Robot started out as a vehicle to rant and rave about my favorite reality tv shows.
Strangely enough I did not embrace reality tv when it first hit the shores of the USA. In fact I resisted reality tv and did not watch it at all. Sure, all my friends were raving about this show and that show and how so and so got evicted and all the gossip that I now enjoy participating in.
Back then though I just did not have enough time to invest in a "serial" type show that required you catch every episode (much like a soap opera). So I avoided watching reality tv.
Then one Summer I caught a brand new show and managed to watch the first episode. It was Paradise Hotel. It roped me in and soon I was watching every episode. Then next time Survivor came around it was from Thailand so I had to watch. Survivor Thailand also hooked me! I was now a Survivor enthusiast! I could not miss a show. I can't wait for Survivor China which is coming soon!
And here we are now in current day, several years later and I must admit I watch as much reality TV as regular television. Right now it's Summer and I am totally into Big Brother 8 on CBS. The show is addictive. It broadcasts 3 times a week and there are also live feeds if you are a nut ball enthusiast. In fact CBS which also owns Showtime just added Big Brother After Dark which is broadcast 3 hours each night, 7 days a week on Showtime Too (available on DIRECTV). It's live and uncensored which means anything can happen! But - I must admit I am afraid to watch it because I do not like reality tv spoilers! Spoilers are when you find out what happens before it airs on the TV show. No spoilers for me!
